Baruntse, a 7129m peak in the Himalayas, is a rewarding climb for any party who have already had some experience with the challenges of high-altitude mountaineering. Mount Baruntse is located on the border between Tibet and Nepal. This peak lies between Everest and Makalu and is generally considered to be a relatively straightforward ascent of a 7000m mountain. However, it still requires accurate acclimatization and clear weather in order to summit successfully. The standard route ascends from the East Col via the Southeast Ridge.
