As an applicant, it is critical to locate the best MBA colleges. The MBA college you pick must have a strong track record, provide high-quality education, and provide an opportunity to work for some of the world’s most prestigious companies. We’ve divided India’s best MBA institutions into six clusters to make your MBA college search easier. Although the list of MBA institutions in India may go on indefinitely, we have sought to limit the category to the better and more well-known MBA colleges. As you move down the list from top to bottom, the degree of differentiation across institutions and clusters decreases dramatically.
When looking at MBA institutions within a cluster, as you read from top to bottom, your preference tends to wane. In Cluster 1, for example, we can’t tell the difference between IIM A, B, and C. IIMA is ranked first because of its brand value and reputation, whereas C is ranked second because its fees are the lowest of the three. Please talk to several current MBA students and alumni, as well as visit the official websites of the different universities for full information, before accepting final admission into any of these MBA colleges.
MBA stands for Master of Business Administration and is one of India’s and the world’s most sought-after postgraduate degrees. This two-year degree qualifies you for a number of corporate positions. Students from a range of areas, including science, commerce, and the humanities, seek an MBA. A standard MBA program lasts two years and is broken into four semesters. A few private institutes also offer one-year PGDM programs.
Eligibility for MBA program
MBA program requirements may differ from one institution to the next. However, the following are the basic qualifying requirements for MBA programs.
MBA applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in any subject or equivalent from a recognized university as a fundamental qualifying requirement (full-time).
The majority of institutes need a 50 percent aggregate or equivalent CGPA as a graduation minimum. A 45 percent aggregate or similar CGPA is necessary for restricted category students.
Final-year graduate applicants who can demonstrate verification of completing their bachelor’s degree within the institute’s mandated time period are also eligible to enroll for the MBA program.
India’s Best MBA Colleges
There are several good MBA institutions in India, however, some are better than others in a few ways. When selecting an MBA program, there are a few factors to consider, including the school’s reputation, alumni network, faculty, and, of course, its business connections. As we all know, India has a plethora of MBA colleges, but for this list, we’ve selected just the most advanced and well-known institutions.
CMAT Exam Pattern
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) administers the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) at the national level for admission to all management programs at AICTE-approved institutions. In 2021, the CMAT test was held on March 31st. CMAT 2022 is scheduled to take place in January 2022. Last year, the NTA revealed a few adjustments to the CMAT 2022 test design. With successful fee submission, registration for the CMAT 2022 will commence in November 2021. For students who have chosen this subject, the updated CMAT 2022 test pattern now includes an optional section on ‘Innovation and Entrepreneurship.’ The test pattern for CMAT 2022 has yet to be announced.
Here are some insights from the CMAT exam pattern which you should keep in mind:
The CMAT is a three-hour computer-delivered test with preset difficulty levels, a number of questions, and time length for each segment, independent of when and where the test is given.
Questions ranging in complexity from moderate to tough are frequently found in the quantitative and data interpretation portion. Geometry, Mensuration, Profit & Loss, Number System, Averages, Probability, Logarithms, and other essential concepts are discussed in this part. To get an advantage in this part, you must practice frequently and have a good understanding of the concepts.
Developing the habit of reading English newspapers, books, and magazines on a daily basis can help you expand your vocabulary and ace the CMAT’s verbal abilities section. Reading Comprehension, Idioms, Vocabulary, Para Jumbles, Fill in the Blanks, Critical Reasoning, Analogy, Sentence Rearrangement, FIJs, and Para Jumbles are all covered in this balanced portion.
